Artist Information Vinod Seetharaman started learning mridangam at the age of seven from Shri Ardhanareeswaran. He had his advanced training under Bangalore Shri Arjun Kumar. He also had the opportunity to learn under Padmashri Umayalpuram Sivaraman. He played his first concert at the age of eleven when he accompanied Smt. Seetha Rajan. He has performed at several places in India,United States of America, and Canada. He has accompanied many leading vidwans and vidhusis at several prestigious organizations. Some of the prominent ones include TR Subramanium, A.Sundaresan, SR Janakiraman, RK Srikantan, Aruna Sayeeram, Charumathi Ramachandran, Madurai Sundar, Sanjay Subramanian, Unnikrishnan, Sowmya, Ashok Ramani, TM Krishna etc. He has won many music competitions and prizes. To name a few, best accompanist awards at Krishna Gana Sabha, Madras, and Narada Gana Sabha, Madras, award for best junior and senior mridangam artiste, Gayana Samaj, Bangalore, etc. He is a "A" Grade All India Radio (AIR) artiste with many radio concerts to his credit and also have performed in national television in India. He has a master's degree in Industrial technology and is currently pursuing a career in automotive engineering at Ford Motor Company.
