Artist Information Sri Santhanagopalan was initiated by his mother into the realm of music at the age of 4 and had the good fortune of learning under great stalwarts like, Chembai Sri.C.S.Anandan, Sri Maharajapuram Santhanam, Thanjavur Sri Sankaraiyer and later on with Sri T.N.Seshagopalan (in gurukulam style). He has been awarded titles like "Isai Peroli", "Yuva Kala Bharathi", "youth award for excellence" etc by the prestigious Sabhas of Madras. He is a "A" grade artiste with AIR and Doorshan. He has performed all over India and abroad. He has carved himself a niche in the realm of Carnatic Music, by giving concerts in a unique style of fine blend of great styles reflecting his training under great maestros.
