Artist Information Nithyasree Mahadevan, the singing phenomenon since 1987, is one of the most popular among the young musicians of South India today. Being the granddaughter of the famed Smt.D.K.Pattamal , she was taught music by her mother Smt. Lalitha Sivakumar in addition to her grandmother. She has received the 'Yuva Kala Bharathi' from Bharat Kalachar in 1994 and The Best Main Artist award from The Music Academy in the years 1992-93 and 1996-97. She has performed in all major music organizations in India and this is her second tour of the USA. She is especially known for her excellent voice range & voice culture.
