Artist Information Recipient of the Isai Peroli award in 1996, Sowmya has rendered more than a thousand concerts in India, and has released several popular CD’s, and cassettes. A child prodigy at the age of three, Sowmya received her early music lessons from her father, and later came under the influence of Dr. S. Ramanthan and Smt. T. Muktha. She has won several gold medals and prizes from competitions.
