Artist Information T. M. Krishna Born on the 22nd of January 1976, TM is really one of the Youngest stars! Disciple of Seetharama Sharma. He took advanced training from Semmangudi Srinivasa Iyer. He also undertook special training in pallavis from Shri. Chengelpet Ranganathan. He is probably one of the very few who’s career began at The Music Academy, Chennai, when he performed for the Spirit of youth festival in 1988. He has been performing regularly since then. He has risen to be a top ranking artiste in a very short span of time, only to be featured in the evening slot in all the leading sabhas including the Music Academy.   He is accompanied by almost all the stalwarts like Palghat Raghu, Umayalpuram Sivaraman, and Vellore Ramabadran. The outgoing President of the YACM, he was the driving force behind the Millennium show held at the academy on the 31st of December. A stickler for tradition, Krishna is known for his forthright and clear approach to Carnatic music. With an attractive voice and a youthful style, his concerts are known to be highly successful. He is married to Sangeetha Sivakumar, an accomplished musician by her own right. He is the recipient of the “Yuva Kala Bharathi “ award along with his wife Sangeetha.
