SIFA Carnatic Music Quiz

Welcome to the SIFA Carnatic Music Quiz, a fun and engaging event for music lovers of all ages. Please review the quiz format for your age category before completing the registration.

Registration Guidelines

• Please complete the registration form carefully. Each participant must submit a separate form.

• All ages are calculated as of August 8, 2026. If a participant is registered in the wrong category, SIFA may move the registration to the appropriate category.

• Payment must be completed to confirm registration. A participant’s spot is reserved once payment is successfully received.

• The registration deadline is Friday, July 31, 2026, at 11:59 PM PDT.

• If registrations exceed capacity, a written preliminary screening round may be held on Saturday, August 8, 2026, from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Hoover Theater Complex. Registered participants may be asked to attend.

• The awards ceremony will be held on Sunday evening, August 9, 2026, following the final program. All participants are encouraged to attend and cheer for one another.

Participant Agreement

By submitting this form, the participant and parent/guardian, where applicable, agree to the following:

• I confirm that the information provided is accurate to the best of my knowledge.

• I have reviewed the quiz format for the applicable category: Sub-Junior, Junior, or Senior.

• I understand that this is a friendly competition, and that the Quizmaster and SIFA organizing team will make final decisions on questions, scoring, team assignments, and results.

• I understand that Junior and Senior teams may be assigned randomly by the organizers.

• I agree that the participant will take part in the spirit of learning, fun, and respectful participation.

• SIFA may address disruptive or inappropriate behavior to ensure the event remains enjoyable for everyone.

• I understand that photographs and videos may be taken during the event. By registering, I consent to SIFA using event photos and videos that may include the participant for promotional, archival, website, social media, and community outreach purposes.

• Registration fees are non-refundable once payment is processed, except if the event is cancelled by SIFA.
